The "cold war" between Karina and Caputo continues after the cabinet changes: now another fight looms over the remaining replacements.

The new cabinet reshuffle, blessed by Javier Milei, while granting greater power to his sister Karina—"she earned it through her successful defense of the party in every province during the elections, and as the President says, we must be Bilardo-esque," argues a minister not aligned with either faction of the libertarian party—guarantees that the cold war between the factions of the LLA leader and Santiago Caputo will persist until the end of the term. There is no rush, for now, to appoint successors to Patricia Bullrich and Luis Petri in Security and Defense, respectively, and the surprise appointment of Diego Santilli to the Interior Ministry has once again thrown everything into question.

No new changes are projected in the government in the short term, although there could be movements in some agencies, such as ARCA (formerly AFIP ), where Esteban Marzorati took over as deputy director of Customs last week. He is a former Commerce official, close to "Toto" Caputo , who will initially assume functions "similar" to those of the current head of the institution, Andrés Beliz , a "career" manager who arrived with the backing of the minister's nephew and a member of the inner circle. The war of accusations continues: sources close to the LLA's "territorial" faction said that Caputo, dissatisfied with his exclusion from the cabinet , threatened to resign, along with some of his inner circle— a claim denied by the LLA's "Forces of Heaven" and dismissed as a "crude operation."

Mariano Cúneo Libarona appeared in the "family photo" of Monday's new cabinet meeting. The Milei brothers asked him to stay on despite having offered his resignation weeks earlier. The official will indeed be taking a few weeks of vacation in Germany in January, where he plans to participate in a criminal law course to further his doctoral thesis. In principle , he will remain in his post until the President asks him to leave . Karina herself reportedly asked him to stay on to block the appointment of a PRO leader or his deputy, Sebastián Amerio , a member of the Fuerzas del Cielo (Forces of Heaven) movement.

There are two cabinet positions that must be filled starting December 10th: Security, where Patricia Bullrich, who will assume her seat in the Senate, hopes to place her deputy, Alejandra Monteoliva , in that role.
